Why it matters in North Texas
Most North Texas hedges — ligustrum, boxwood, holly, Indian hawthorn — do best trimmed in late winter before spring growth, then again in summer to hold their shape. Cutting at the wrong time, especially in peak heat, stresses the plant. We time trims to the plant, not just the calendar.

Can you trim tall hedges?

Do you take the clippings with you?
